Every wish child deserves at least one unbelievable moment in life where they think “pinch me I’m dreaming!”  That moment came for one special young man when he had his greatest dream realized, to meet his hero, international film sensation Harrison Ford.

Twelve-year-old Jackson has been a fan of Harrison Ford’s since he was just 3 years old and saw the first Indiana Jones movie with his dad.  He has been a huge fan ever since, seeing all of his movies.  Seeing him in person was beyond his wildest dreams.   “It was this huge rush of excitement. I thought ‘Oh my god I’m meeting Harrison Ford,” Jackson still can’t believe it.

Jackson, who is diagnosed with Leukemia, was picked up in a Limousine where Harrison Ford was waiting to meet him with many gifts and memorabilia from his movies.  Then it was off to the Metropolitan Museum of Art where Jackson and Harrison were taken on a private tour of the Egyptian exhibit.  Real life archaeologists, who reminded Jackson of the Indiana Jones character, were on hand to answer all their questions.  They then had lunch together in the trustee’s dining room.

“He was no different than the people he plays in the movies, he was really nice… He was cracking jokes with me, it was great!”  Jackson remembers fondly.

Jackson’s mom is so grateful to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® for this once-in-a-lifetime experience for her son.  “It was beyond anything that we would ever have imagined… Harrison Ford had no entourage, it was just him and Jackson… It was pretty amazing.”
