Board Leadership
We are grateful to the extraordinary individuals who comprise our three volunteer leadership groups. Their generous commitments of time, talents and resources help us bring love and laughter back into the lives of the wish children and families we are privileged to serve.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Metro New York Board of Directors is the governing Board of our chapter. As such, its members select, evaluate and support the president and chief executive officer. The Board also protects the Foundation’s assets, enhances its public standing, ensures accountability, and maintains legal integrity.
Current Board of Directors Members
The Advisory Board is comprised of high-level executives and leaders in the community who embrace and promote the Make-A-Wish mission and are passionate about the ability of a wish to enrich the human experience. Advisory Board members are responsible for identifying, implementing and participating in development opportunities to meet the Foundation’s revenue goals and expand our network of members and resources.
Current Advisory Board Members
The New Leadership Council is a group of professionals under the age of 40 who are dedicated to supporting and promoting the Make-A-Wish mission. Their focus is to provide leadership support for fundraising efforts, to recruit prospective leaders and help in the strategic planning efforts of the organization, and to increase awareness of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York in communities in which the members live and work.
