Margaret Goes Computer Shopping In Style

When asked what she remembers most about her big wish day, 8-year-old Margaret hesitates for a moment and then, with a big smile, says – “driving to the store!” It’s easy to imagine her
anticipation and excitement that day as she explains that she didn’t just “drive” there – No! Margaret, her mother and her two sisters, were taken by limousine to the store where she picked out a computer with games and educational software.

Once inside the store, Margaret’s wish granters helped her decide which of the many computers would be best for her plans: to be able to play games – alone or with her sisters – and to read and gather information for school. So many choices and decisions to make! Having her wish granters there was certainly helpful. Once the computer was chosen and packed up, an expert even came to her home and set it all up in her room. Now she’s a happy little girl with her own computer ready to do all the things she enjoys so much – playing games and reading. Margaret’s even done some math for school!

that this year alone Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York fulfilled 505 wishes for local area children and another 189 wish assists for children from other Make-A-Wish chapters whose wishes took place in New York. That's one wish every thirteen hours, all through the year!
