Niki wished to dance with the Rockettes®

Niki is a shy, 17-year old who longed to have a moment in the spotlight at Radio City Music Hall®.

When Niki's Make-A-Wish® wish-granting team asked her what she wanted most in the world, she replied that she intensely wanted to meet one of the Radio City Rockettes®, the world's most famous precision dance troupe.   Niki had seen the striking dancers in the Annual Macy*s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and commented, “They look like they have so much fun!”

On wish day, she arrived at New York's City's Radio City Music Hall in a limousine with her family.   Niki was awestruck by the beauty and size of the grand front lobby and foyer.   But then she met Cassandra, a beautiful, statuesque Rockette™, who whisked Niki off to one of the Rockette's rehearsal halls for a one-hour private dance lesson.

This was all truly a surprise to Niki, who thought she was only going to meet one of the lovely women.   She was surprised to discover that a glamorous day of fun was planned for her.

Cassandra took Niki through three dance routines, each one with its own unique twist – the Parade of the Wooden Soldiers, the Reindeer routine, and, of course, the high-kicking opening number.   Niki's face lit up with satisfaction as she mastered these wonderful numbers.   Then, Niki's adventure continued with a trip to makeup and wardrobe, as she needed to prepare for her surprise role in the show.   But, before her big number, she was whisked backstage to meet Susan and Dierdre, two gorgeous Rockettes dressed in their stunning, green, velvet costumes.

Niki was dressed in a furry, while hat, coat, scarf and gloves to be a part of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular® .   Niki's beaming smile lit up the theater as she rode in a fairytale-like horse-drawn carriage across the stage during one of the show's scenes.   Waving and smiling to the audience of hundreds, her excitement stole the spotlight.   Niki's mom waved back with proud tears in her eyes, feeling deeply grateful for spectacular wish experience her daughter was granted.

Niki will always remember and cherish her wonderful trip to New York City, meeting the Radio City Rockettes, and being a part of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular - especially when she wears her exquisite new Rockette™ earrings, a present from the Radio City wardrobe department.
