Cover Girl Ronda’s Wish Came True!    

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a model for a day? Well, 11-year old Ronda isn’t wondering any more…this sixth-grader, who is being treated for spinal muscular atrophy, just had her lifelong wish come true.

Ronda’s mom wanted her to be totally surprised, so she didn’t reveal that her wish was to be granted. When Ronda came home from school on her wish day she expected it to be like any other day. Instead, she was whisked away in a black limousine to have her nails manicured, her makeup applied, and her hair curled in preparation for her modeling debut. Ronda even picked out an elegant dress to wear for her photo shoot.

Ronda certainly had the “star” treatment – her wish granters made sure of that. When asked what she will remember most, Ronda said modeling for a magazine was the most exciting. Thanks to Make-A-Wish® volunteer, Mary Lauterbach, Ronda appeared in the March issue of the popular teen magazine Elle Girl.
