New York, July 1, 2009 - More than 500 members of New York’s business and philanthropic community gathered at Cipriani Wall Street as Tom Glocer, Chief Executive Officer of Thomson Reuters was honored for his outstanding contributions towards the Foundation’s mission of granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions during the annual gala of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York.
On March 25, 2009, close to 800 wine and food enthusiasts gathered at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers to enjoy exquisite wines served by more than 40 wineries and delicious food from 18 of NYC’s top restaurants and caterers while supporting a good cause.

Port Washington Teens “Shoot for the Stars”
When five teenagers from Port Washington discussed proposals for their upcoming mitzvah project, they came up with the idea to organize a basketball fundraiser to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York.
