Diapers.Com - Diapers.com is Helping to Make Wishes Come True - For every new referral to the site, Diapers.com will donate $5 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Macy’s - Thanks for Sharing gives Macy’s shoppers the opportunity to do their holiday shopping and help make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions. Shoppers enroll on the program for $25, enabling them to receive a reward card valued at 10 percent of all their Macy’s credit card purchases. The rewards come in the form of a gift card sent to participants after the holidays. For each Thanks for Sharing program member enrolled, Macy’s donates $10 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. During the 2011 holidays, Macy’s Believe campaign encouraged all kids, young and old, to drop a letter to Santa in mailboxes at any Macy’s location to explain why they believe. For each letter left in the mailboxes, Macy’s donated one dollar to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, resulting in a more than a $1 Million donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Brooks Brothers’ Golden Fleece Foundation is a national partner and supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Each spring Golden Fleece Foundation holds a special charity two-day shopping event nationwide to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Jewelers for Children (JFC) has raised over $6.9 million to date for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, helping grant 1,053 wishes in the United States. In 2008, JFC donated $500,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America through the Wish A State program, to grant a wish for each Make-A-Wish location, including the Metro New York chapter.
Things Remembered’s partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation began in 1997 when wish child Elysia wished to give her loved ones personalized gifts so they would remember her. To honor Elysia’s memory, Things Remembered created Make-A-Wish gifts to benefit the Foundation. To date, Things Remembered has donated more than $5.5 million to the Foundation. Things Remembered raises funds for the Foundation from the sale of gifts, through employee giving and through a customer donation program.
UnitedHealth Care Group (UHC) has pledged $1.5 million annually to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America through 2010. As part of the three-year, $4.5 million partnership, the UnitedHealth Group Wishes program has been established to enable the company to grant wishes through the Foundation’s 64 chapters nationwide – resulting in two wishes granted for Metro New York children due to UHC’s support. UHC has also added Make-A-Wish chapters as eligible recipients for employee donations. UHC employees are also encouraged to make a positive difference in their communities by contributing their time and talents to the Foundation.
Each year, Zurich Life conducts a workplace giving campaign nationwide – resulting in a $42,500 donation to the Metro New York chapter this year.
Since 2001, Cold Stone Creamery®, along with its franchise community, has hosted the annual World’s Largest Ice Cream Social at all Creamery locations to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The event is the culmination of a full month of fundraising efforts, and is celebrated with an energetic, fun-filled event atmosphere. Each year a wish child is selected to serve as Junior Tastemaster, assisting Cold Stone Creamery with the development of a delicious Make-A-Wish Creation, which is served free to guests during the event in exchange for donations to the Foundation.
