Funding comes from individual contributions, special events, corporate donations and sponsorships, foundation grants, workplace giving programs and planned gifts. According to our Fiscal Year 2008 audit, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Metro New York spent 81% of its revenue on wish-granting and related program expenses. Only 10% was spent on administrative costs and 9% was allocated to fundraising.

Participating in a Kids for Wish Kids project is a benefit not only to the wish children, but also to the students who create and execute a fundraising plan.

Are you thinking about hosting a fundraiser or special event so that you can help grant wishes throughout Metro New York? Choose the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York as the beneficiary of your event and you can help grant the fondest wish of a child with a life-threatening medical condition.
Events are organized by outside parties to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Metro New York. Event sponsors vary from individuals, companies and corporations, kids groups, community groups and just about anyone who has a great idea for a fundraiser. Some of the unique and special community events that have been organized include polar bear plunges, golf tournaments, bowl-a-thons and silent auctions.
