Application Process

In order to join our volunteer team, we require that volunteer candidates go through an application and screening process. The application, screening and orientation process takes approximately two months.After your paperwork is in order, the next step is to attend a New Volunteer Orientation. This orientation provides each candidate with an overview of Make-A-Wish Foundation®, our mission and history, policies and guidelines, and volunteer placements within the organization. New Volunteer Orientation is held every two to three months and is essential to your success as a Make-A-Wish® volunteer.

To have a volunteer application mailed to you or to inquire about the status of your application please e-mail your name, complete mailing address and phone number to jklein@metrony.wish.org and write “Volunteer Application” in the subject line.In the meantime, please feel free to contact Jill at 516-944-6212 ext. 103 if you have any questions, or if you know of other ways that you can donate your time and talents to benefit this wonderful organization.
