Workplace Giving and Matching Gifts

chloe.jpgWorkplace giving is an easy way to donate regularly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Metro New York through automatic payroll deductions. You can designate the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York as the beneficiary of your payroll deductions through America’s Charities or through United Way.

If your company’s employee giving program only includes United Way, look for a “donor option” line on your giving campaign form and write in “Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York.”  Your local United Way will then forward your gift directly to the Foundation.

Why Give?

Workplace fundraising is a positive, rewarding and fun way to motivate and further engage employees in your organization. Studies have shown that one of the factors contributing to engagement in the workplace is pride about the company’s support for the community.  Through workplace fundraising, your employees will help Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York further our mission and will provide your employees with an enriching experience.  By raising funds in support our Foundation, you are helping children in the five boroughs and Nassau County

The benefits of a Workplace Fundraising Campaign include:

  • Increased employee motivation and retention
  • Team building
  • Professional development
  • Cross functional communication and relationships
  • Creating a sense of accomplishment and pride
  • Encouraging involvement in the community
  • Positive perception of the organization amongst employees
  • Positive perception of the organization by the public for the organizations commitment to community involvement
  • Wish your dollar could go further? It can! Turn your $100 donation into $200 without any additional money from your wallet. Many area companies, whether small or large, will match your charitable contribution through their matching gifts program.
