a 17-year-old young lady, did research before selecting her special wish. “She went on the computer and said, ‘Mommy, I want to go to Greece,’” her mother Vanessa recalls. She had decided that she liked the beautiful color of the blue water, and was intrigued by the fact that there were fish there, that gave pedicures and manicures. Shanessa and her mother stayed in a magnificent hotel in Crete. According to Vanessa, the Blue Palace Hotel was “one of the best… a great place!” Mother and daughter were pampered and enjoyed every moment of it. They loved the pool and the beach, delighted in massages and the delicious food. All this was enjoyed in a beautiful, relaxing, calm environment – something that was especially appreciated after the excitement that the family experienced ever since Shanesa’s diagnose of neoplasms.
Shanessa and her mom visited Knossos and the famous palace there. They were impressed with its enormous size and the artwork, pottery, sculptures, floor designs and tombs from 3,000 years ago. They also visited Saint Titus church, which was particularly important to Shanessa’s mom.
“Mommy, I’m so happy…My dream came true,” is what the young traveler kept saying to her mom. She also enjoyed her fish manicure and pedicure, even though it tickled at first. According to Shanessa’s mother, her daughter is now more ambitious about getting on with her life. The trip was a relief. She is now so bubbly, so happy. The trip also brought mother and daughter even closer. Both hope and look forward to going on many more trips together.
