Senior Manager, Individual Giving and Board Relations - New York, NY

The Individual Giving and Board Relations Senior Manager is an integral part of the Make-A-Wish Metro New York and Western New York chapter and is responsible for managing relationships with the chapter’s most generous individuals and family foundations.  He/she will be fostering meaningful relationships with donors and prospects in the philanthropic community in the five boroughs and Nassau County to advance the Make-A-Wish mission. The Senior Manager will be responsible for managing individual high-level donor relationships, the Circle of Hope patron program as well as related stewardship activities.  The Senior Manager must be adept at personally soliciting donors, developing long-term relationships with donors and implementing best practices for running a robust individual giving program. The Senior Manager must be able to think creatively in order to engage existing donors as well as find new donors.   In addition, the Senior Manager will be helping to cultivate and engage members of our Board, the Board’s Development Committee as well as select Volunteer Leadership groups. He/She will be integral in tracking the success of the volunteer leaders as well as working directly with them to engage their philanthropic networks to support Make-A-Wish. He/She will be responsible for meeting annual targets and will be working in partnership primarily with the Chief Development Officer, Chief Executive Officer and other Development team members.

Manager, Donor Relations - New York, NY

The Donor Relations Manager is a valuable member of the Development Team and is responsible for developing and implementing engagement and fundraising strategies to enhance our relationships with current and prospective donors within the Philanthropy and Corporate Relations portfolios. The role includes supporting a portfolio of approximately $3 million; assisting with select events; supervising one staff member and managing special projects throughout the year. Paramount to this position is the ability to work with a high degree of independence, and juggle various projects at once, while maintaining a clear view of how each project supports the organization’s mission.

Associate, Medical Engagement - BILINGUAL - New York, NY

The Medical Engagement Associate is responsible for overseeing the referral, diagnosis verification and wish clearance process, importing and analyzing data, supports in creating reports and queries, and defining standard operating procedures for the medical outreach team and integrating them with the Mission Delivery team. He/she is to act as a member of the team in supporting coworkers and supervisors in accomplishing the Chapter objectives set forth by the Director, Medical, Community and Volunteer Engagement, Chief Operating Officer, and CEO.

The Finance Coordinator provides a full range of administrative support for Make-A-Wish Foundation Finance staff and Wishgranting staff.  This role is an integral part of our internal financial control policies and is the front line in ensuring that all coding of invoices for wish children are properly recorded.
