So now, it’s Giving Tuesday, which is supposed to make you feel better about the last few days - and it can!
There are a lot of things that need to be solved in the world and a lot of great organizations that do the work. Today, they’re all going to be asking for your money.
So why should you give to Make-A-Wish? What if your child, your sister, your best friend was fighting for their life? What if in addition to painful treatments, they were fighting anxiety, depression, isolation from friends and even separation from their family. Wouldn’t you want to give them a light at the end of a tunnel?
Wishes give kids the chance to dream big for the future and fight hard for it.
Many doctors actually use wishes in their plan of care because they know that keeping kids positive helps them. A lot. And it helps their families. A lot.
So now you know why’s it’s important. But we need your help. Every 20 minutes a family is told that their child has been diagnosed with a critical illness. And every 34 minutes, Make-A-Wish grants a wish. That gap is where we need your help.
So, think about what you’ve done over the past few days. Feasting? Football? Shopping? Now think about what you can do today. You can create happiness like this.
We are an organization reliant on donors, volunteers and the medical community. Thank you for your support.
